Focus on the Lord as soon as you wake up.
This is the day that the Lord has made.
Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
Read the Bible. It’s still God’s word.
Rejoice in God’s creation.
Smell the roses. Enjoy nature. Look outside yourself.
Communicate God’s love to someone in person, by note or by phone.
Family members are a good starting place.
Confess your faith out loud and think about the statements.
Memorize the Apostle’s Creed or the Nicene Creed.
Thank someone for something they do, or have done for you.
Thank God! Develop the gratitude attitude!
Greet one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual sayings.
Remember. Meditate on a healing memory God has given you.
Pray! The eventual goal is to pray without ceasing.
Pray the Lord’s Prayer. Pray the Jesus Prayer, “Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me.”
When you don’t know what to pray, pray in the Spirit.
If God wakes you in the night, pray for those He lays on your heart.
Kindness. Do a good deed because you are God’s own.
Forgive. Practice forgiveness.
Purpose to free your heart from all bitterness.
Compliment (not flatter) someone.
Try to see God’s gifts in and to others.
Praise God some way this day!
Resist a temptation.
