The Rev. T. Jonathan Jackson, Father Jon, is rector of St. Andrew’s. In May of 1973, God changed Jon’s life forever, when Jesus became Lord of his life. Responding to this call, Jon began a full time business, Faith Home Repair, in May of 1974.Leaving a secure job with Baltimore Gas Electric Co., selling the family cars to buy a truck, and taking a loan on an insurance policy, Jon and his wife, Margie, embarked on what was to be an exciting 25 years of business. In those years the Lord was to teach them how to live by faith. A sign above Father Jon’s desk, with him since the beginning, reads, Be anxious for nothing... But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33
The Lord prospered the business. Jon served on the board of the Maryland Improvement Contractor’s Association for many years. He is both a Certified Graduate Remodeler and a Certified Remodeler. His company, Faith Home, was selected to Remodeling Magazine’s Big 50 Hall of Fame in 1995. God wasn’t finished with them yet!
After 25 years in business and more than 20 years in one church, Jon and Margie were led to join 16 others in founding a new parish of the Charismatic Episcopal Church (CEC). In September of 1995, Jon received the call to attend the CEC seminary, St. Michael's. As he completed his studies, his Bishop asked Jon to serve the parish of St. Andrew's. Father Jon and Margie moved to Petersburg in December, 1998. They have 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
